Can I make AVOID_MARGIN value less than 1m?

Hello. I have a problem. I use RP lidar a2 for simple object avoidance. RPLidar A2 and S1 360 degree lidar — Rover documentation (ardupilot.org)
I use my motors encoders for non-GPS navigation. I want to make my rover stoped when it sees obstacles. And everything works well (rover stops before it hits objects). But I want to change AVOID_MARGIN value for less than 1m. To make rover stopped from shorter distance (about 0.5m). Mission Planner only supports 1m as minimum value. My rover have to work in small spaces, so I need a help. (sorry for mistakes in the next, it is not my native language, i am 15 years old and need this rover for competition :smiley: )

Ignore the warning and simply set it to 0.5. It will work fine.
