Is this just because i’ve not finished setting up the settings for hardware etc or is this a problem with the flight controller?
That’s not ever a good thing nor should it be expectation upon first boot.
What autopilot? What firmware?
Yes, I certainly dont like it, Rover 4.2.3 and h743wlite, from new i erased it with stm32 then installed plane with BL then used mp to load rover 4.2.3. i’m just trying to go back to plane or something to see if that makes any difference. might have to try erasing again,
Plane 434 is loaded and working without the watchdog
I assume you’re talking about the Matek autopilot by that name. I have one, and it behaves just fine when I flash Rover 4.2.3 using the MatekH743 target.
ok i will have another go at loading rover, maybe it was corrupted install or something
I just re-flashed mine from a Copter variant to Rover 4.2.3, and it’s working fine.
It’s possible, though a bit unlikely that the newer bootloader from the Plane firmware is somehow incompatible, so you might try flashing Rover 4.2.3 with the bootloader via DFU mode.
