I am building a quad tailsitter without control surfaces. Currently it hovers and is stable, however after 30 seconds (while flying with props only) the ESC overheats and either reboots flight controller or unsolders connections from BLDC…
The flight controller is Mateksys h734 WLIGHT, and ESC is Tekko 32 F4 4in1 (65A) rated. The motors are 1050 kv and using 9inch props. the weight is around 3kg.
I’m thinking it has to do something with ardupilot-BLHeli32 configurations, since I tried the same set up (almost identical aircraft) with iNav. Hence if the hardware hasn’t changed the only thing i can think of is that there is something different in the way that the board is being driven that might be making it poop itself like that. anyone has recommendations or leads to what is happening with the configurations, especially stuff around braking of the motors maybe?
