Updating FireFly6 to latest ArduPlane firmware

Hi all!

I have a BirdsEyeView FireFly6 that I am looking to update to the latest version of ArduPlane.

I have read over and implemented the setup from this 2017 post (FireFLY6 VTOL with APM Plane) and got most of the functionality working on the ground. No flight tests yet.

Ideally, I would like use the latest stable release of ArduPlane (v4.3.x) rather than the older version suggested in the above post (v3.8.x).

If @tridge or anyone can let me know of any major changes in the control loops or flight critical systems that I should be aware of before attempting this. And if there are any configuration tips or tuning tips that you have.

Any help is much appreciated!

Best,
Dorian

you should definately do a new VTOL tune and setup the new notch filtering system. Get VTOL control to the point where it has good recovery before doing a transition. Feel free to post logs here and I’ll take a look
