Unable to start MavProxy.exe when running SITL

Hi! I’m a first-time ArduCopter / SITL user and am having issues running SITL.

I’ve followed the “Setting up SITL on Windows” page on the ArduPilot website, but am running into the following error when trying to run SITL:

Unable to start 'mavproxy.exe': The specified file was not found.

I’ve tried to find solutions online, but unfortunately haven’t got very far. My only lead is the following line of output in the command window. I think the path to mavproxy.exe might somehow be incorrect. From what I’ve seen online, the below output typically references /cygdrive/c/Program Files (x86)/MavProxy/mavproxy.exe instead of just mavproxy.exe

What folder is your MAVProxy installed to?

It could be an issue with putting MAVProxy on the system path - normally done as part of the installer. Perhaps Windows might need a restart to refresh the system path?
