Hi
I’ve mounted a small turbine to a quadcopter as a booster for lift (using BOOST function). Does anyone out there know how I can trigger the start sequence on the turbine without engaging the quadrotors?
thanks

Nice! Can we see pictures?
If you fly only with the booster, how are you going to achieve stability?
I think the idea is that the booster takes care of the lift, and the normal motors stabilize the drone. So I think that you cannot engage the booster only.
See image. I’ve changed to CubePilot now. Stability still quadrotors, additional lift via turbine throttled via booster function. Only problem, I can’t actually start the turbine safely via the boost function.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
thanks

So, I created a simple Arduino sketch with a nano to control the turbine. So far works well simulated in flight. Next is to strap a turbine and go fly.
