Sub 250g Micro-Drone Flying More than 25 Minutes!

This is amazing. May I kindly ask if we could chat via FB Messenger a while? I do have an industry project for which I need a sub250 with long flight time. It shall carry a small Thermal Cam. You can reach me with support@flyingmachines.de or FlyingMachines.de on Facebook.

Okay. Iā€™ve just sent you an e-mail. Regards!

Hi Hans. May I kindly ask if we could chat through FB Messenger about this sub250? I have a industry project for such kind of drone an would need some support. Bye Chris, FlyingMachines

Yesā€¦ Iā€™m online at Facebook right now. You can find me at https://www.facebook.com/maroquio . :+1:

Hi, i have a nano quad with F4 and arducopter. 2" props 1104 7500KV motors, lipo 2s 450, frame 90mm. Can you share the pids for quad like this dimension?
Thanks!

Awesome Job guys, whatā€™s the furthest range for communication with the micro drones and whatā€™s the average weight of the communication gear the drone carries. Iā€™ve got a sub 250g off the shelf drone fitted with sensors but controlled manually, I want to move over to making it relatively automated.

Hi nightowl, we are using ESP8266 for telemetry communication, its very cheap and with MAVESP firmware its very easy to use and configure, Andrew Tridgell made a wonderfull work for it and Ardupilot, have a look here https://ardupilot.org/copter/docs/common-esp8266-telemetry.html
Sure its integrated antenna its not a champion for a great range, but have a look at this range test to have a better idea https://ardupilot.org/copter/docs/common-esp8266-telemetry.html
Depending on the type of automated mission you are planning to do maybe you could rely on auto mode, failsafe mode, and maybe you could accept to have the drone out of GCS communication range if you prepare very carefully your auto mission.

I use a crossfire nano, and it weighs about 1.5 grams w/ the antenna. It does RC control and mavlink telemetry.

I have flown over 6 kilometers away w/out any problem. Battery will definitely be your limit. People with larger vehicles fly this system 20+km.

I use the ESP8266 radios also and on the same mini quad Frsky R9 Rx. The R9MM is some grams. Not the range of Crossfire I donā€™t think but for these small craft there really isnā€™t a use case for long range. I have run Auto Missions at some distance but just for testing purposes.
