Special "Land" command

Hi everybody.

I have a need for a additional feature in the land command. I fly a gasoline drone ( quad ) in inspection along railroad and powerlines.

If the power drops ( engine stops ), it triggers “land” mode. However, i need to make the drone to fly 5 meters to the side, before it triggers land.

This to prevent it from landing on tracks or powerlines.

Anybody have an idea how to do this? As a company, we are also interested in paying someone for development help, if its possible.

Would RTL mode work? It would fly back to the takeoff location (by default) and land.

No, this is for emegency when low battery.

You would need a Lua script for this then. Also - how would you want to specify what direction the 5m shift is performed in? Always perpendicular to aircraft heading?

Yes, that would work. For example 5 meters to the right

Yeah I would recommend looking into Lua scripting or hiring/finding someone that can do it for you.
