My team and I just bought the Siyi A8 Mini camera/gimbal for our autonomous drone project. We found ardupilot’s guide on connecting the gimbal controls using a serial port. Our issue is that we are short of serial ports as we need them for other drone features, such as telemetry radio, ELRS receiver, GPS, and Lidars. Is it possible to configure this gimbal’s controls in ardupilot using SBUS connection (which is supported for the gimbal)? I haven’t found any posts or guides on configuring this gimbal this way so we’d appreciate any tips if anyone has experience with this.
Alternatively is there a way to get more serial ports for the cube orange standard carrier board?
