Recognizing descend stage in RTL through mavlink

Hi,
Is there a mavlink message that reports the stage of an RTL operation? I am looking for indication for the final stage where the drone is above launch position and descending.

We don’t directly tell you that in mavlink AFAIK.

If you had landing gear it probably deploys in that stage - you could
enable that feature and monitor a servo value…
