Problem with PNI RM3100

there was a problem using the PNI RM3100 magnetometer. connected via the I2C protocol. it is perfectly displayed in the mission planner. calibration also goes without problems, but when lifted into the air, the copter starts spinning in a circle, but stabilizes when gaining altitude. Tell me if the RM3100 needs to be calibrated before installing it in the copter or if it calibrates well already installed.

Wow, identical to another post from a different user…

sorry, but we correspond with that person, and we use almost the same components for copters, sometimes the problems appear identical, here we are looking for a solution in the forum, and I accidentally posted his text

OK, gave a solution.

the magnetometer is installed in the middle of the case as far as possible from the power wires, but there is still some instability when lifting. is it somehow possible to programmatically correct or use the magnetometer from the outside
