How is the landing gear powered ?

The landing gear will need to be powered from a separate supply. The reciever will be powered by the flight contollers 5v logic supply - you dont want that suffering if landing gear jams or creates electrical noise.
The landing gear PWM input should come from a servo output on the flight controller, so it can operate the gear when required. Your landing gear RC channel is still linked to that via parameters. Read up on the Landing Gear section of the doco.
