Motor powering down midflight

Hi, I am having issues with my brushless motor powering down mid flight.

Hardware:

  • 930kv brushless motor
  • 12x6 prop
  • 40 amp esc
  • 3s, 2200 mah lipo battery

The airplane seems to take off fine, and even completes an entire waypoint mission. However, as soon as I set the mode to FBWA from Auto to bring it in for a landing, the motor seems to throttle down to a very slow speed, resulting in the airplane effectively losing all power and crashing. This isn’t a problem any other time, only when I switch from Auto to FBWA. If I move the throttle to idle then full after this, I noticed that the motor goes up to full speed but shortly throttles back down to a very slow speed. Is this a hardware or software issue, and how can I fix it?

Thanks.

You will need to supply the flight log so someone can analyse it for the issue.
Otherwise it’s just guessing.

How can I access that? Thanks.

Logs

Hi, sorry for the extremely long gap, I was busy. I managed to log a flight with this issue, and this website says the .bin file is too large. I am not sure if the .bin file is the right one, but I have uploaded it to google drive, which you should be able to access with the link below. Please let me know how to analyze the log.

Thanks.
