Mac OS Sonoma 14.1.1 (23B81) not opening latest build of APM-Planner

Latest builds [APM-Planner_2-2.0.30-rc3-x86_64.AppImage] Do not open on Mac OS Sonoma 14.1.1 (23B81). Unarchiver opens the AppImage and converts it to a .cpgz. Using Unarchiver on the .cpgz clones it over and over.

I opened a download the archived .dmg from a year ago and it seems to follow the documentation as of now.

The archived version creates a problem and will not launch. Not sure if this helps.

APM Planner 2 is very out of date. I don’t know for sure but I don’t think there’s any active support for it.

As I write this on my macbook, my suggestion is QGC. There is a really beta method to run Mission Planner on a Mac, but it’s not for the faint of heart.

There’s also this issue on Github: https://github.com/ArduPilot/apm_planner/issues/1286

Commits are still happening by @Arne-W

Good to know. I stand corrected. Thanks!

I downloaded QGC for the meantime. Works.

Still need someone who can build a universal image for macOS. I hope I can do a new APM Planner release in the next 4 weeks. So if there is anyone who can build the planner for Mac x86 and ARM64 it would be very cool…
