Lidar with or without a gimbal

Hello!
I have a question about the lidar: my lidar (Benewake TFmini Plus) is directed downwards to track the terrain relief. Does it make sense to install the lidar on a stabilized mount (like a gimbal with one servo) to compensate for changes in distance when the quadcopter tilts forward or backward? These changes typically occur during the drone’s takeoff or landing. Or is this functionality already built into the lidar signal processing?

It is already built in.
