I wanted to know if the lidar sensor alone only the laser range finder tx and rx can hold the drone postion just like the gps without adding optical flow camera ?
No it can not. It does need optical flow, or other positioning aid.
The issue with optical flow in market is only for 50meters range …
Do you know or recommend any good optical flow with good camera maybe bigger lens ?
