Issue with capturing I/O PWM Output On Scope (Pixhawk 6X)

Hey All,

I am currently running a Pixhawk6X flight board stack flashed with Plane. Trying to run a very simple test. Just looking to capture the PWM signal (I/O PWM Out) on our oscilloscope to get a feel for signal and understanding of vehicle. I am receiving nothing on our scope, I have so far disabled arming and failsafe as I assumed it was not passing initial safety checks to get “flying”

Only thing plugged into the stack is GPS in terms of signal inputs. Is there something I am missing or need to do such I can play with the signal and its levels on the scope?

Hello

As usual WIKI is your friend
You will save a lot of time and frustration by following the steps
https://ardupilot.org/plane/docs/arduplane-setup.html

Thanks boss, the frustration was setting in haha.
Appreciate the response & link.

Just a hint == On ArduPlane, there is no PWM signal out until Safety Switch is correctly set and enabled

That would make sense. Did not even see that swtich on the GPS…
What if we change out our GPS System down the road? Is safety switch mandatory for the ArduPilot?
Or is there a setting (say in the Params List) that we can set to tell it not to use?

@kfruson BRD_SAFETY_DEFLTset to 0 means disable safety switch
