I have a question about understanding Autotune for VTOLs:
After setting up the notch filters, I can either do Quick-Autotune (VTOL-quicktune.lua) or QAUTOTUNE (the flight mode) to improve the flight behavior of the VTOLs in VTOL mode. Whereby QAUTOTUNE optimizes better than Quick-Autotune. From this point of view, it would make sense to do Quick-Autotune first and then QAUTOTUNE?
To improve the flight behavior in fixed wing mode, I still have to do AUTOTUNE (the flight mode). Is this correct?
Quicktune and Qautotune are both available for VTOL mode. QAutotune takes a long time, longer than some VTOLs can hover. Many people only run quicktune for the hover and leave it at that. With a VTOL you’re not often looking for that same bleeding edge performance you might be on a quad, so the extra time to run Qautotune might not get you much in return.
Yes, Autotune flight mode is still available for fixedwing mode.
