I’m currently tuning my copter using the Methodic Configurator and have reached step 9.3 – Evaluate the aircraft tune (part 1).
and 9.4 Sixth flight: Evaluate the aircraft tune - part 2
After flying with the 28_evaluate_the_aircraft_tune_ff_disable.param
file, I reviewed the .bin
log and noticed that the RATE.RollOut
, RATE.PitchOut
, and RATE.YawOut
values are not below 0.1 as recommended. Some of them are noticeably higher.
Here are some my setup is a Holybro x500 v2 with a pixhawk 6C flight controller

Do you have suggestions for:
- What might be causing the high
RATE.*Out
values? - Is it okay to proceed to the next config file or should I improve tuning first?
I’ve ran quicktune right before doing these flights. It was a little bit windy today, could that affect the RATE values?
