H-rtk unicore 982 without base station?

Dear,

Am i right to assume that the H-RTK holybro unicore 982 dual antenna can support rtk positioning without a base station ?

I am building a boat with pixhawk 2.4.8 and i am wondering if im better off purchasing two helical f9p’s (1 as base station and 1 on boat) or if the H-RTK unicore 982 with dual antennas can be used for high precision rtk without additional base station ?

Thank you

AFAIK UM982 uses 2 antennas for GPS heading.

But does is use those two antennas for Rtk positioning or does it require an additional base station ?

Rather not, RTK positioning requires base station to be stationary.

I thought that was moving base that allows the base rtk to move if the other antennas position is exactly known

Not really.

Moving baseline means that one antenna can be located precisely RELATIVE to the other on the same vehicle, thus providing the ability to derive orientation (heading).

But if the moving base has no RTCM3 sent to it from a fixed base, the entire system’s ABSOLUTE position will only be as accurate as a regular 3D or DGPS fix.
