Guided mode not working

Hi there!
i am using apm2.8 in my drone and have successfully performed flight in modes like AUTO,STABILIZE,RTL etc…
but i am facing problem in guided mode…
what happens is-- when i takeoff in guided mode it takesoff to the given altitude but when i enter the waypoint to which it should fly to (using ‘fly here’), it keeps hovering at the same location.Moreover orange target line is not appearing on the map.
i can’t find certain params in the full parameter list which might be effecting the cause.
Please help!
