Here is a working log. Im trying to use throttle based notch. My esc wont all read so bluejay wont flash. Im going through the online tool but i dont understand what is acceptable? My quess was rpm notch around 125hz freq, 62 BW, 40 ATT with .3 hntch ref

Or am i way off base

You should also look over the tuning process instructions because much of what’s set on this plane are conflicting.
What is conflicting? Ill set those params and retest in 12 hour’s. What should the gyro_filter hz be? Its 10 inch props. 40hz?
And thank you. Im trying to figure this tunning part out. I just want to be able to take off without hot motors. Im not going to use vtol for anything but take off and land.
Im using heewings parameters which work but not very well. It can take off and land in vtol. Transitioning works but the motors get hot after 2 minutes in a hover. They also shake a little sometimes while in a hover.

I managed to flash bluejay for bidirectional dshot. If i enable the channels my Motors wont spin and it showns pwm1-10 instead of pwm 1_6 DSHOT600 7-9 pwm 10. Without channel 7,8,9 bidirectional bit mask checked everything works. Its a heewing fx-405 v2 FC. My motor channels are 7, 8, 9
Thats why im using throttle based notch filter
Changed motor timing from medium high to medium 15° that cooled down the motors a lot. I did a short hover but i was in a small space. I had to move sticks.
I added a notch and im probably doing it wrong. It does hover better.

There is nothing really to work on for the Notch Filter in this log.
Set these and make another longer flight.

I know my current settings are totally off.
Still nothing to see. Disable the Notch Filter. What prop size is on this VTOL, maybe the Gyro filter is set too low.
One concern is the thrust/weight. Looks underpowered/overweight with one motor at max, during Yaw it looks like, which is not good.
Ok ill try again. Its a 10 inch prop. So ill disable the notch and try agin. Be back shorty. Thanks for looking

Ok the documentation say 110000 but ill use your 50000
Also my stock heewing params for Q_A_rat_yaw_fltd 40 Q_A_RAT_rll_fLTD 40. Should i leave those as is
Sorry, my bad. The max setting should be 110000 for 10" props.
I’d use the filter settings as per the wiki.
