Really need to see a dataflash log but the most common cause of uncontrolled climbs is high vibration. It’s possible that as the vehicle revs up the motors to maintain altitude as it’s leaned over, the vibration levels increase a lot. Check the VIBE message in particular. If the vibes are regularly over 30m/s/s you may have a problem. If they’re regularly over 60m/s/s then the vehicle definitely has a vibration problem.
