I have been working on a quad and got curious about the damping concept in landing of a UAV. Is there any practical existence of this concept? If some one wants to implement some sort of damping mechanism in the landing gear, how is that possible? And one last thing, will it really work for hard landings?

Now just using sticks. Can adjust dampening “factor” changing the angle of the sticks.
