This morning, I ran the motor/compass calibration On my Tarot quad. Upon power up and connecting to Mission Planner, I kept getting the message: Prearm: Fence requires position. Thinking that this wasn’t really important for running the calibration, I went ahead and proceeded with the exercise. Here is a screen shot of the results:
At the time, I didn’t notice the two Prearm messages in the box at the upper lefthand side of the screen. Anyway, I switched to the Data view in Mission Planner and observed that the artificial horizon was inverted:
Could this be due to my impatience in not letting the aircraft establish it’s position? Later, I moved the quad into my office and powered it back up. I got the fence requires position message a couple of times but finally went away and the aircraft was ready to go - the aircraft beeped and there were no warnings in the HUD. So, could these anomalies be due to my not waiting for the aircraft to establish it’s position or could there be some other issue that I need to correct?
