I’m using a companion computer with the pixhawk 2.1 on a plane flying beyond line of sight in ocean area. I would like to set ARSPD_USE to 1 only during takeoff and landing and change to ARSPD_USE to 0 while crusing in AUTO. The idea is to avoid airspeed sensor failure to crash the plane while no one has direct control.
Does APM need reboot before applying ARSPD_USE?
Do you think this is a sensible action or do you foresee some risks?

You can change it manually in flight via a GCS. I agree this would be useful.
You can change it anytime, no reboot required.
