Hello All.
I have been slowly working on my FPV heli setup, (meaning trying to fly it and get used to it). One issue I find when flying is not maintaining a safe for me altitude. Can a Lidar module be used to prevent the heli from flying too low?
I have been reading the docs and I have not found an answer to my question. Hopefully someone here can help me. Thank you.
Hi @HeliSteve , which flight mode are you flying with?
Yes, did you already bump into the surface track feature explanation?
if flying in a non-manual collective mode, keeping the collective centered (~1500us) will maintain ground proximity fairly good.
@Ferrosan, I fly in stability and position hold modes.
I think I read surface track, but now while responding to you I am not sure. I’ll have to double check. So one thing is that I do not use the ground station at all when flying. So if surface track needs that connection I will not have it.
Thank you for your feedback. I will dig deeper to see what more I can learn.
