Can FBW A handle a statically unstable plane

just wondering if I can get rid of trim drag by moving the CG aft of 1/4 point of my straight wing chord, and only fly in augmented modes. Saw no post on this topic, although the documentation asks for CG forward of 1/3 of wing chord (ouch). I don’t think the form of the pitch controller needs to be structurally different when dealing with a inherently stable versus mildly inherently unstable airplane. Anyone has experience flying these FBW modes with aft CG?

Should work, probably a good idea to turn up the loop rate. Get it flying with a stable cg first then slowly move it back and re-tune as you go.

thanks, you mean turn up PTCH2SRV_P?
