First of all, I am a beginner with ardupilot and Beaglebone so I imagine there is a lot of things I don't know.
I am trying to install Ardupilot on my Beaglebone Blue to control a rover with the APM planner 2 software.
So far, I have installed Ardurover on my beaglebone. I wired a 3DR radio to the serial port 5 and plugged its pair into my laptop. I haven't plugged the GPS yet.
I tried to launch Ardurover via the command: sudo ./ardurover -C /dev/ttyO1 , and let it run while trying to connect APM to it but it is not detected. I also have a lot of strange symbols printed in the terminal (I am using Putty to access the Beaglebone in SSH). The same happens with serial 0
I have also tried with the serial port 5 and i don't get the symbols in the terminal but I know some data is sent because I used an Arduino to read those data and print it.
I understood I should use the connector E4 to wire the RC receiver but this is not the same receiver than the one linked to APM, is it ? In this case, if i wire the receiver signal to E4, where should I wire the transmitter signal.
Also, i tried to have Ardurover launched automatically at boot of the Beaglebone with the editing of the rc.local file but this seemed to be ignored. Do you know a possible reason for this ?
I know it is a lot of questions but I am a bit lost right now
Thank you in advance for your answers,
