Description: Budget to acquire Ardupilot branded merchandise: T-shirts, bags, flyers, decals, etc … , to distribute free or sell. Items considered as merchandise do not include any Ardupilot related hardware. These may be considered and proposed independently at a later time.
Planned amount $$ (USD): Total: $4K. ($2k asked for review by funding committee now)
Estimated time for completion: 12 months
Use of funds: A number of Ardupilot branded materials acquired with these funds will be given freely by Ardupilot representatives, at upcoming drone related conferences or other public venues where Ardupilot is significantly represented. The rest will be made available for purchase on a webshop to be built and integrated within Ardupilot.org, with proceeds used to offset this budget.
How: First $2k are to be allocated by the recently established “Ardupilot Outreach and Marketing” team, currently consisting of 7 dev team and 2 Ardupilot community members, all volunteers. The $2k remaining, along with a detailed spending plan and a proposal on the structure, rules, role, and membership of the team , is to be presented and discussed with the dev team, prior to submission to a team vote.
