An nlon peak at the start of the flight

Hi,
I’m using ArduCopter 4.0.5 and pixhawk cube black.
I experience a peak of nlon at the start of my fight to around 1600 and after a few seconds it goes back down to around 300-400 witch is my nominal.
I’m quite familiar with the nlon param but I don’t understand why it happens.
I would love some help.

There is no nlon parameter that I know of.

Are you talking of a read-only parameter?
or are you talking about a mavlink message field?
Or is it a dataflash log field?

Be specific. And update to ArduCopter 4.4.4

EDIT: long loops are not a parameter! They are a dataflash log field

Typical to start but 300-400 long loops seems high. But a Cube Black is no spring chicken. And yea, 4.0.5?

Oh ya, I’m sorry I meant in my dataflash log section.
I would prefer not to update my ArduCopter version, I’m trying to understand the cause of the problem. To me it’s more important to understand it than just eliminate it.
It’s a project I want to submit to school and my professor told me that if I could give him a definitive answer I would get extra credit.

What does your PM.load look like?

You have too much stuff being processed probably.

Your prof probably wants you to figure out how to solve the problem for that extra credit. I could give you some ideas to lower cpu usage but to help you learn, what do you think you could change to reduce cpu usage?
