Yaw values from compass instead of gps heading

I have been doing some mapping missions and have noticed that in my metadate for georeferencing imagery my yaw value comes from the gps heading of the flight.

The problem is that sometimes it is windy during a mission and the wind makes the craft fly at an angle. The camera is aligned with the craft, this results in the yaw pointing in the direction of flight not the direction the craft and camera are facing.

Is there a way to record the yaw metadate for georeferencing imagery from the compass rather than the gps heading? , the compass should show direction the craft and camera are pointing.

Kind regards,
Thomas
