Yangda release the new VTOL: Sky Whale Mini

YANGDA Sky Whale Mini full electric VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) fixed-wing drone, the unique design of its type in the world, brings the cutting-edge technological innovation in the UAV industry. Aerodynamic design, 3 hours long endurance, weatherproof structure, and reliable avionics system, make it an ideal UAV platform for ISR (intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance) and mapping applications.

Fast deploy
The fixed-wing UAV is adapting the most advanced quick-detach technology on both airframe and cable connector, making assembly and disassembly becomes super easy. In this case, the Sky Whale VTOL plane can be set up in 3 minutes by a single man.

Quick-release cargo bay
This design will give you more flexibility to switch among different payloads, like a surveillance camera, LiDAR, or mapping camera.

Due to its anti-water design on the fuselage and air speedometer, the Sky Whale Mini VTOL drone is weatherproof and can reach an IP55 rating. In this case, the waterproof VTOL aircraft can carry out urgent missions on rainy days, like search and rescue.

No piloting skills needed
The LAUNCH ground control software that the Sky Whale VTOL drone uses is developed for beginners, so a pilot without any flight experience can fly the drone well. Click HERE to learn more.

Working day and night
Sky Whale Mini can be easily identified in the air with onboard navigation lights, especially at night.

Built-in TOF landing assistance
The landing is gentle and safe with one 8m range radar detection device.

Onboard ADS-B
Equipped with ADS-B, Sky Whale Mini’s GPS coordinates will be displayed on the air traffic control system.

Compass calibration-free (differential GPS)
The pilot does not need to do compass calibration on the Sky Whale Mini VTOL UAV, saving lots of time in emergency tasks. Furthermore, the fixed-wing VTOL won’t get affected by surrounding electromagnetic interference (EMI) anymore since the compass is replaced by DGPS, significantly improving the VTOL flight stability in the air.

Nice design
I am a little confused about the ADSB picture, it seems you have implemented the ADSB-OUT architecture , Is it really the case ?

Orange Cube is ADSB-IN only and it can detect surrounding ADSB-OUT traffic on Mission Planner but not the other way around.

Glad to receive your comments.

You are right, there is one small antenna above the cube orange autopilot which should be inside the fuselage. The picture only shows the drone supporting ADSB. Have told my picture designer to renew it. Thanks
