Windows 7 / Mission Planner / Bluetooth

I’ve got an HC-05 -based BT module connected to a Pixhawwk, but can’t get MP to connect to it.

I’ve configured the module for 57600, 1 stop bit, no parity.

When it connects to windows, I get two COM ports - an “incoming” and an “outgoing”.

According to W7 doco, the “incoming” is for connections originating elsewhere, and the “outgoing” for connections originating from the computer.

I’ve set the properties for each within windows to 57600, 1 stop bit, no parity.

Both show up in Mission Planner (running latest Beta as far as I can tell). I set MP to 57600.

When I try to connect on the “incoming” COM port, I get a timeout and no pixhawk found.

When I try to connect on the “outgoing” COM port, I get an error.

With the BT module connected to my computer via an FTDI cable, I’ve been able to send and receive through the terminal from the FTDI COM port to the Bluetooth COM port, so I’m reasonably confident that the module is basically working.

The other problem I have is that when I fail to connect to MP, it also seems to drop the whole connection between the BT module and my PC - goes from slow flash to fast flash.

Has anyone hit these problems before?

Thanks! Still a fairly random situation though!!
