Wind Vector Over Estimation on Reality

Yesterday, in my flight I noticed that the wind vector was much higher than reality. I am just wondering if this indicates a possible inaccurate airspeed sensor? If so then I may need to re-calibrate.

Hello,

Reality at ground level is not the same at 150m or 500m (force and direction).

To check your airspeed sensor, do a run headwind (with no drift, altitude or power change), check indicated airspeed and ground speed (GPS), reverse course, same IAS and check groundspeed with back wind. If average GPS speed is quite the same as your airspeed, you are happy.

Be aware of drift influence at low airspeed,

Marc

I will try this thanks.
