Hi ladies and Gents,I am going to use the RFD radio and my Horus radio and Yaapu on my craft with a general set up how far can I expect to go im only looking for about 12K,I am sure that is feasible but your suggestions comments much appreciated
I use the 900’s and the 868’s have some slight differences in firmware to suit your region, but distance shouldnt be a problem. I know of the 900’s doing 150km at altitude, and 16 km at ground level in urban sprawl - 12km shouldnt be an issue for an 868.
The standard advertised range is “up to 40km”
Just make sure you’ve got all your failsafes set and tested, and you are complying with local laws. 12km could be beyond visual line of sight.

Thank you Shawn,120meters is beyond line of site for my old eyes lol,on the craft should I fit the short stubby antenna or the same longer ones on the Mod transmiter and yes I will do range testing as I progress again
I just use the stubbie antennas but feel free to use the long ones.
I feel the long ones have to be secured in some way so they dont vibrate and come loose.
