I flew a mission today where I mistakenly deleted the LAND waypont.
No big deal - I simply switched to “LAND” flight mode when the copter got to the last waypoint - which was near the place I intended to land.
I suppose I could have switched to LOITER, ALT-HOLD or some other such mode - and flown manually to a suitable landing.
But I was wondering if this is the complete story. For example, if I had used the throttle stick to descent - would the copter have come down?
Of course the best approach is to end each mission appropriately with a landing. I’m just curious if there are any “gotchas” or helpful tips for dealing with this situation.
