What happens if two devices are connected to the same serial port?

Hi

Currently I have my ArduCopter wired in such a way that I have both a bluetooth module (nRF52833 in the diagram), and ESC Telemetry wired to the same RX port. (RX6)

In the diagram in reality all 8 wires are connected between the ESC and FC

I’m wondering if this will cause issues? I have to choose one protocol for SERIAL6, and I’ve chosen MAVLink 1, and it works with the bluetooth module. But could there occur interference from the ESC on RX6 because of the connected ESC Telemetry wire?

Wondering if I should physically cut the wire coming from the ESC to be sure (It’s an 8-pin connector)

That is not possible. you will need to cut the ESC telemetry wire.
