I’d like to test AP with XPlane through HIL. It is present in documentation.
But it seems there is no support anymore from hardware side
Is something that could be done about it?
There is support, but it is called Simonhardware instead of HIL
Search for it and you will find it.
Thanks! But it is not the same as “external” simulator like X-Plane
The internal flight model in this mode is very simple and don’t count for weather/ turbulence etc.
A perfect simulation in my opinion would be to make sure AP works as intended with hardware it will be run at, at the same time being able to tweak using realistical external model
That was a possibility in earlier versions, but not now
