What does "feedback from mid stick" mean for PILOT_THR_BHV

I have a vague recollection that I needed to set this options when I changed from a RadioMaster TX16 without a centering throttle stick to a HereLink with a centering throttle stick.

But I’m testing a new transmitter today without a centering throttle stick - and it doesn’t seem to make any difference if I set this bit or not.

Would someone please tell me when the “feedback from mid stick” bit on PILOT_THR_BHV needs to be set?

  1. It works in altitude control modes.
  2. It makes copter not start ramping up motors before throttle stick is above middle position while landed.
