Weatherproof Arducopter Compatible Barometer

We have our flight controller inside a well sealed enclosure but we would still like accurate barometric altitude. In the past, the internal barometer has not functioned well, due to being isolated from the atmosphere.

We used an external barometer and this worked well. However, all the barometer boards we’ve been able to find are ‘exposed’. They wouldn’t last long on a rainy day or stand up to the high vibration levels we’re seeing.

Ideally we’d like to use a barometer that is at least in an enclosure that protects the circuitry, and then maybe has a tubed port for the sensing. We’ve found ardupilot compatible GNSS, Lidar, and other sensors in IP67 enclosures with secure mounting options, but nothing yet for barometers!

If anyone has experience with this, it’d be great to hear your advice. It’s possible we end up just 3d printing an enclosure and trying to mount it somewhere where rain or dust wont be as much of a problem, but this would be less desired.

Thanks!
