We plan to use the CubePilot Powerbrick power module in our vehicles. However, since each Powerbrick is rated for a maximum of 30A, we connect the module in parallel with the main power line. During calibration, we configure the voltage settings by simply entering the measured values manually. Despite this, we are not getting consistently accurate voltage readings. Can you suggest what could be causing this problem?
Can you provide a schematic of your power connections?
Did you configure it as “voltage only”?
yes I selected voltage only
I had the same issue recently. When I connected a load to powerbrick’s output (~3 amps), I started getting voltage readings, and kept getting the readings after the load was disconnected. It’s possible this was a coincidence, but it could be worth trying.
why are you using a power brick to monitor voltage? you only need 2 resistors.
I usually connect it this way. Can you share which brand of Power brick that is? It could be due to there is no load, the voltage and current (if available) sensing is not functioning properly.
Voltage monitoring with no load works fine. So that can not be the issue.
Try a 5W 300ohm resistor across the output. I’m assuming about a 6S battery.
