Using "racing" "freestyle" esc for low kv motors

So I am currently building a tarot ironman 650 with 380kv motors with 1755 props
Bench test shows my motors are consuming less than 15a with 4s, on full throttle

is it possible to use a freestyle or racing esc with blheli_S?
The one I have on mind is 3-4s 40a esc. It is smaller than conventional big frame esc builds.
Will this be possible? I can reprogram it.

they should work fine.

It might not work well out of the box since they have really low kv. But trying some settings on blheli like motor timing and others, it would work fine.

Use BLHeli_32 ESC’s and turn off Low RPM Power Protect in the firmware. Other default settings should work fine.
