During development, it would be useful to use the Pixhawk 2.1 without the entire cube (just the mainboard), to save some space while we temporarily put some additional hardware in our plane, which wouldn’t fit without the Cube.
If I understand correctly, the mainboard has a full set of sensors, they’re just not damped, and there’s no redundancy. For our purposes that would be fine for testing. Is there anything required to get the system to run without other sensors? And is there anything required mechanically?
