I’m using Holybro H-RTK F9P Base Station connected to the GCS for RTK/GPS Inject. Is it possible to simultaneously use this base station for Drone ID GCS GPS? They both want a serial connection to the GPS device, but only one can connect at a time. Is there a way to pass the GPS data from the RTK/GPS Inject to the Drone ID?
I got the system working by purchasing an additional GPS receiver which connects to my computer through USB. I had hoped that I could use one GPS receiver for both the RTK injection and drone ID. I’ll post the system diagram tomorrow.
The problem is that the Drone ID tab on Mission Planner requires a serial connection to a USB device. The GPS-RTK Base station is already serially connected to RTK injection in Mission Planner. They cannot both connect to the same COM port.
The SiK radio is connected to mission planner through the USB port and is working correctly.

The Drone ID requires a GPS fix before the drone can arm. I can connect a separate GPS receiver to the USB port and connect that GPS to the Drone ID tab. The GPS will get a fix, the drone can arm, and the system will work correctly.
The Drone ID and GPS-RTK cannot simultaneously connect to the same COM port. I wanted to use the GPS-RTK receiver for both the GPS-RTK injection AND the Drone ID position fix. It does not appear to be possible to use one receiver for both purposes. The other poster claims that the GPS-RTK does not output the location information in the format needed for the Drone ID tab in any case.
When I take all of the equipment outside, the GPS-RTK works correctly and the drone ID GPS works correctly. That is with two separate GPS devices connected to the ground station.
I was trying to use one single GPS unit to provide data to both GPS/RTK injection and Drone ID.
It does not appear that this is possible to do because Drone ID and GPS/RTK each ask for their own serial connection to a GPS device, but one device cannot have two serial connections.
I believe your so called Drone ID GPS is connected to the GCS.
I watched your successful test videos. Congrats.
Some laptop or computer comes with built-in GPS module. Do you think that is why you need an additional external GPS for computer? Meaning other users also need to have a built-in or an additional external GPS connect to GCS?
My laptop is older and was an inexpensive model. It has no GPS functionality.
The external GPS is needed because I have enabled Drone ID. Mission planner will not allow the drone to arm unless the GCS has a GPS fix if Drone ID is enabled. If other users want to use Drone ID, I think they will need a GPS module connected to their laptop.
This is what is looks like to connect the GPS to Drone ID in mission planner:
