Use more than one rangefinder

Hi all,

I see from the rangefinder library of Ardupilot firmware that, we can attach more than one rangefinder to the flight controller. A second rangefinder is defined in the full parameter list as RNGFND2_TYP.

May I know if anyone has tried it and how can we use the second rangefinder?

As far as I remember the second rangefinder will only be used by the EKF or if the first rangefinder is not healthy.

To use it you just configure it like the first one.


Thanks for your reply. I realized in the rover firmware that multiple sonar sensors are used for obstacle detection.
