Unsure issue w/ radio calibration

Some information upfront
I have a spketrum dx7s transmitter with a diy y6 copter, I’m using linux(ubuntu) with apm planner 2

My transmitter is sending a signal to the copter and I can throttle up and down and control the copter, but on the radio calibration page which shows you the current settings of the controller(pitch, yaw, roll, throttle and radio settings) it shows the signal from the transmitter dropping in and out, going to what the control is set at to the default settings of mission planner(apm planner). Let’s say I have the throttle all the way down it will repeatedly drop in and out going from the controller’s levels(20%) to the default levels (50%) making it very difficult to control, the copter its self reflects this as the propellers change speeds trying to match those levels. This is for all radio settings not just throttle.

Any guidance or assistance would be great as I have not been sure what to look up let alone where to find how to trouble shoot the problem.

I have also checked ESC calibration, at it seems i cannot properly callibrate ESC until I find out what the issue is with radio calibration and why it’s signals are so jumpy.

I attached to screen shots of the states they’re jumping between, what could be the cause? software issue? something plugged in wrong? calibration issue? faulty hardware?

could it be that when I bound the transmitter I did it incorrectly? spektrum AR 8000 with apm copter px4 and spektrum dx7s transmitter? There is literally no troubleshooting guidelines for the issues I have. Any response would be nice at this point, even if it’s useless.

I am having a similar problem with the radio calibration screen in that it shows no radio movement at all.
Yet in flight mode setup the green marker on the PWM values moves if I change flight modes on the Tx with the switch.
In the failsafe setup window the radio bars move with the Tx sticks.

So it is obvious that it is a fault with the radio calibration page.
