Yes , but this a more general Video not special X11plus, am I right?.
I think that @mudwood did it like this but it even not change the baudrate. As this is going now some dayes I also think that mudwood is doing the necessary reboot of the ESC as well as the FC.
As this ESC comes per default with 500.000 Baud, is it even possible to work with a higher baud rate. The manual is not given any information about this
It is possible that it does not support up to 500,000 bps, but if that is the case, it does not explain why the Drone can tool does not allow changing the NodeID and ThrottleID.

Since Hobbywing support is the one who told me about this site, I wanted to know if there was a problem with the baud rate.
I have asked Hobbywing support about this issue and have received no response at all. Are they on a long vacation?
Prior you wrote
What is now the truth , are you able to change the IDs with the tool or not?
I am a little confused now what is working and what not?
Sorry for the lack of clarity.
I’ll try to make it into bullet points.
What has been done
- Change the motor ID using Hobbywing’s DATALINKv2 and a dedicated application.
- Connect to X11Plus motor at 500kbps and test the motor from Misson planner.
- Connect to X11Plus motor at 500kbps and receive telemetry information and display it in Misson planner
What has not been done
1.Use DroneCan gui tool to change baud rate, throttle ID, node ID
2.Connect to X11Plus motor at 1Mbps
This is why I asked for the detailed steps of what you are doing. But ok
-
Did you tried to set only the IDs but not the Baudrate with the DroneCan gui tool ?
-
Did you tried to set the Baudrate 1.000.000 using Hobbywing’s DATALINKv2 and a dedicated application?
This tool has (probably) only two functions.
- firmware upgrade (Firmware upgrade tab)
- change NodeID, ThrottleID (CAN tuning tab)
I changed the ID on the CAN tuning tab.
The procedure is as follows. - Set Bus rate to 500K Hz
The message “the bus rate set succesfully.
Set ID: to 4 - Set Throttle Channel: to 4
- Press “Set ID and throttle” button
The message “Batch setting parameters Write all successfully.
I tried the following steps to change the communication speed, but it did not work
Set the bus rate to 1M Hz
The message “the bus rate set succesfully.
Press “Set ID and throttle” button
Error message “Batch setting parameters Write all failed.
On the first picture “firmware upgrade” is in the field “Communication Information” also a button “communication setting”, what does this do?
About Communication information
The connection conditions with the motor are determined in this section by pressing the “communication setting” button.
About the table on the right side of the screen
After setting Communication information, press the “Scanning” button at the bottom of the screen, the button changes to “Stop” and the connected motors are displayed on the right side of the screen in order.
Press “Stop” to stop scanning.
The uploaded screen is the screen when the above procedure is performed.
Thanks, @Jai.GAY, @Juergen-Fahlbusch.
Resolved!
Hobbywing support contacted me and the correct thing to do was to turn off the checkbox on the Drone can GUI tool screen.
I had been under the illusion that it was correct to have the check box turned on, because on the description page, the screen said “Push” for the check mark.
Thanks for the time you guys have spent on my precious time.
Appreciate it.
I’ve got all my problems fixed now and can do the following.
I am connected to FC at 1Mbps.
Both NodeID and ThrottleID have been changed.
I appreciate the reply on the resolution and hope others benefit from it too.
Happy safe flying.
ya the old version does not have this checkbox.
