For those interested, the planning software is proprietary (https://www.droneshowsoftware.com/) but the hardware and firmware (slightly modified ArduPilot) are available here: https://github.com/ugcs/Ardupilot/tree/Copter-3.5.1-DDC and https://github.com/ugcs/ddc

This is really impressive. How many drones and what specs for such a light show ?
For this they used 50 drones I think. Just Flamewheel F450’s, build/modification details are in one of the links above.
