Ublox m8n does nothing

Before i explain my problem i will inform you about the specs of the Quad

  • 30A Blueserries ESC HK
  • 10x4.5 Props
  • 1000kv 2811 Turnigy brushless motor
  • HK x650F frame
  • APM 2.8 with 3.2.1 software
  • Ublox m8n
  • 5000mah 3s 20c lipo

After building the quad on KK2.1 (what is really bad) we wanted to fly with APM and GPS.
So we bought the m8n ublox module with APM2.8 on Alie.
After flying it won’t lock his position. In MP i saw the GPS location with HDOP 1.2m but He has the exact same behaviour as alt hold (Which don’t needed gps). Also missions he didn’t fly! So after a lot of fora i found a article on arducopter for the ublox update. I did exactly what was say in the tutorial. But now he doesn’t do anything.

The blue light on APM stills blink and the light on the GPS self is solid blue. It can’t find anything!
Even on U-center i see there is something at the COM port. But more i can’t see!

Please help me.
I don’t know what to do!

Please provide tlogs and/or dataflash logs to help troubleshoot your issue.

I am not at home right now. But the drone don’t reconize the GPS system. So for GPS there are no logs.

You don’t need gps to create logs, and they may show up something iffy with you’re setup/config.
If you have an HDOP of 1.2, it implies your APM is seeing the gps but not acting on it.

But the problem is that i dont have any gps at this moment. Before updating it was okay! But it didn’t lock! So i update and After the update my gps dont do anything.

The led on gps is solid
No hdop
No signal
And at u center i dont Find anything

Check that the wiring diagram that you used is the correct one for your M8N and an APM. It will be a cable that you make. I’ve used Drotek and CSG M8Ns and had different wiring layouts within the same manufacturer.

BTW: I’ve never needed to mess with Ucenter to configure anything.

I Think that was my problem! So if i didn’t updated and changed my wiring it fixed! But now is my problem to restore factory settings on my m8n! Does Someone have files to bring it to m8n

Just an update! Because there are no config files i can’t reeinstall the software.
The device is broken and i get full refund (after a hard conversation with a seller).

So my new device is comming with the mail. How i can use the compas in the m8n on apm 2.8?
